The compressor is the exciting part and the smallest part of the budget. What determines whether a boosted car lives is everything around it.
Here is the honest list, in the order it matters.
Boost is a multiplier. Every marginal thing about the engine gets worse under it.
If we find the engine is not healthy, we will say so before taking your money for a turbo kit.
This is where most under-budgeted builds fail. More air needs more fuel, and the factory system was sized for the factory power level.
Running out of fuel at the top of a pull is a lean condition, and a lean condition on boost is how pistons get holes in them.

Torque has to get to the ground through parts that were specified for less of it.
A car that accelerates much harder needs to be able to deal with it. Brakes and tires are the two things that matter most and the two most often left until last.

The most common way a build goes wrong is spending the whole budget on the turbo kit and having nothing left for fuel, cooling and clutch. Then the car gets tuned conservatively to survive what it has, and the owner is disappointed. Plan the whole build before buying the first part.

A calibration can only work with the hardware present. If the fuel system runs out, the tuner's only safe option is to make less power — which is exactly the outcome nobody wanted.

Because it was specified for the factory torque figure and you have exceeded it. On a manual car the clutch is usually the first thing to give up, and slip under boost makes the tune useless and eventually damages the flywheel.
